Inspiration.

I would like to dedicate this blog to my parents. The two most amazing people in my life. If any of you read this post, you know that I am a complete, 100% Daddy's girl and that my mom could LITERALLY be the President of the World if she needed to be. I truly believe I am 50% my mom and 50% my dad--the perfect combo. Let me elaborate.

My dad is truly one of my favorite people to be around. He is hilarious. We are so similar in our stupid jokes, weird smiles, and love for expensive things. He truly appreciates architecture, and is always there pushing me toward my goal of becoming an architect. He is so motivating and reminds me what is really important. He makes me laugh whenever I am with him, always has my back when I need help defending myself (usually to my mom), and yes I have him wrapped around my little finger, haha. I love it. I am his Dot and he is my Pod. Father of the Bride is literally our movie and couldn't describe my relationship with my dad better. I don't think I tell him enough but I love him more than I can ever express and strive to be like him all the time. He is so successful in what he does and the best part is that he loves it. He is so generous to me and never wants to see me go without. He is truly the most genuine person I know. When I find the man I want to marry, I will be looking for someone with similar qualities as my Dad. I love you Daddy.

My mother is the most motivated, determined, outgoing, bubbly, and driven person I know. She can do whatever she sets her mind to. I love how stubborn she is--one of the qualities I inherited from her :) haha. When she decides to do something, she puts 200% of her effort into it and never gives up. She is amazing in everything she does. Her ability to make everyone around her laugh is such a gift and I hope one day to have that same quality. I swear that when my friends come over, they come to hang out with her, not me. She is loved by everyone, and I don't know anyone who ever says anything bad about her. She is smart, beautiful, funny, and so inspiring to me. Her ability to serve others never ceases to amaze me. When I am always worrying about myself and being selfish, she is always putting others first and doing whatever she can to make everyone around her happy before she does anything for herself. We may get in a few more fights than my dad and I get in but it's probably because we are so similar in our stubborn-ness and always want to be right, so it ends up being a good thing because it shows how a like we are. I hope that as I grow older I can start developing some qualities that she has--always being able to have a goal, stick to it, and give it my all. I love my mother so much, and I don't think I tell her enough.

My parents are the best. I am so lucky to have such amazing people be the ones who raised me. I have so many great qualities in my genetics--hopefully I pick up a few. I just felt that I needed to write this and remind them of the love and appreciation I have for them. I can't wait to move home for the summer because I know they are the two people I will be hanging out with the most when I am home. I love spending time with them. This is probably one of the last time I will ever actually live in my house with them, unless it is when I am married and we are just trying to save money. I cherish the two years we had together when Taylor was on his mission because it really made us so close--especially living in that tiny apartment during the remodel of the house. This summer will be so fun and I really am so excited. I love you mom and dad :) Thank you for everything you do!!
