Saturday Night.

It's Saturday Night...I'm sitting at my desk in the Architecture building at school doing homework. Well, if you can call drawing pictures of buildings, playing around on photoshop, and brainstorming ideas to change a space for the better homework - then yes. ;) I have never been so busy in my life. And never been so overwhelmed either. It's been a very, VERY stressful week. I feel like I've already been in school for a month. It's weird. I'm already becoming closer with my friends in the program and starting to feel like the studio really is my home. I love it. Even though I have been near break downs this week because it's all happening so fast, I am loving every minute because I am doing what I love to do and learning how to do it!! Architecture is truly my passion and I really can't say it enough times that I know I was accepted into this program for a reason and that it is what I am supposed to be doing with my life right now. It's unreal how it just fell into my lap and happened out of nowhere. We got our portfolios back that we applied to the program with - I'm keeping mine forever. Sometime when I have more time I'll break down each of my classes, teachers, and projects thus far for you and post it here so you know what I'm up to. Currently I am making HDR (High Dynamic Range) Images. They are SWEET! I took a bunch of pictures downtown and around SLC about the topic of "Nightlife" and am now compiling them into HDRI's. I am also in the process of drawing a picture of the UMFA building. Also, I am brainstorming different spaces that I can change - I'm thinking my site will be 21st/21st Coffee Shop/Blue Plate Diner. More details to come. Well, I'm loving life and already a stressed out Architecture student. Hopefully I still manage to go out a couple times a month :)

I have tried to upload my HDRI's but they aren't working...I think they are too big/in .tif form instead of .jpg so I will work on that and try to get them into a format I can post. But since that isn't working right now I will just post a couple of pictures I took - similar to the HDRI's but not as good.
